Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 20, 2026 · Last updated: May 20, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how SpaceXChart ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information about you when you visit spacexchart.com (the "site"). We have written it in plain English. If anything is unclear, please contact us.
1. Information we collect
We collect a small amount of information automatically when you visit the site, and the information you voluntarily provide via our contact form.
- Automatically collected information. Our hosting provider and analytics tools log basic technical data — IP address, user agent (browser and OS), pages visited, referring URL, and timestamp. This is used for security, debugging, and aggregate usage statistics.
- Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies for site preferences (such as remembering you have dismissed a notice) and for analytics. Third-party widget providers (TradingView) may set their own cookies.
- Contact form data. If you use the form on the contact page, we collect the name, email address, and message you submit. This is used solely to respond to your inquiry.
2. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Operate, secure, and improve the site.
- Respond to inquiries submitted via the contact form.
- Measure aggregate traffic and content performance.
We do not sell personal information. We do not provide your email address or contact form submissions to third parties for marketing.
3. Third-party services
The site uses a small number of third-party services. Each operates under its own privacy policy:
- Google Fonts — for typeface delivery. See Google's privacy policy.
- TradingView — for embedded charting widgets. See TradingView's privacy policy.
- Formspree — for contact form delivery. See Formspree's privacy policy.
- Hosting and CDN provider — for serving the site. Logs are retained per the provider's standard policy.
4. Future advertising
This site does not currently display advertising. If we add advertising in the future (for example, Google AdSense), we will update this Privacy Policy with the specific disclosures required by the relevant ad network, including details on third-party cookies, personalized advertising, and how to opt out via Google Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info. We will also display a consent prompt where required for users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland.
5. Cookies and how to disable them
You can configure your browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent. Most major browsers offer this functionality in the Settings > Privacy / Cookies menu. Disabling cookies will not prevent you from reading the site but may affect functionality (for example, some embedded widgets may not load).
6. GDPR rights (European Economic Area, UK, Switzerland)
If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have the following rights under the GDPR (and equivalent UK/Swiss law):
- Right of access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification — request that inaccurate data be corrected.
- Right to erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Right to restrict processing — request that we stop using your data while a complaint is being resolved.
- Right to data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests, including profiling for advertising.
- Right to withdraw consent — where processing relies on consent, withdraw it at any time.
- Right to lodge a complaint — with your local supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at editor@spacexchart.com.
7. CCPA / CPRA rights (California residents)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act:
- Right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose.
- Right to delete personal information we have collected.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. The site does not currently use advertising cookies; if that changes, opt-out information will be provided in Section 4.
- Right to limit the use of sensitive personal information.
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email editor@spacexchart.com.
8. Children's privacy (COPPA)
This site is not directed to children under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Data retention
We retain server logs for a limited time as required for security and operations. Contact form submissions are retained for as long as needed to handle the inquiry and any follow-up correspondence, after which they are deleted. Analytics data is retained according to the configuration of our analytics provider.
10. Data security
We use commercially reasonable measures to protect the information we hold — TLS encryption in transit, controlled access to administrative tools, and minimal data collection. No internet transmission is ever 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For substantial changes, we may also post a notice on the homepage for at least 30 days.
12. Contact
For privacy questions, data requests, or complaints, email editor@spacexchart.com or use the contact form.
